12 hours a week, flexible, $20.00 an hour.

Matthews Living History Farm Museum houses several breeds of heritage animals. Including Brown Swiss Oxen, American Guiena Hogs and Gulf Coast Native Sheep as well as several other breeds of livestock.

Adopt a Sheep.
Our Adopt a sheep program is finally up and going this year! The Gulf Coast Native sheep are a critically endangered breed that we are trying to help thrive. We are recognized by the Livestock Conservancy as a breeding farm. We have an amazing bloodline on the farm. Orion’s line consist of the Laddner/Wing bloodlines which are very old lines.
By adopting a sheep you are supporting that ewe or rams needs with your donation.
All Donations Are Appreciated.
We are a non-profit organization. Your donation can be for a specific event, class, or animal here on the farm. Community is important to us and we love to be able to host events, classes and programs for you all to enjoy and learn from it.
